Zee is a good friend, that I meet online and starting chatting with. I have proofed her childrens books, which are delightful tales of adventures in a world beyond our own.
When Zee asked for volunteers for an art course she was putting together, I put my hand up. The course didn’t get very far before Zee realised that she wanted it to go in a different direction, and instead created a book, along with fellow artists Anna Simpson, Jane Thorne, Andrew Black, Catherine Warren and Megan Murphy. This book is full of inspiration, tips and ideas to help you develop your own artist style.
A collaborative project with six kiwi artists, this book encourages, motivates, and gives practical ideas for young artists to grow in their identity as an artist and cultivate their unique voice.
So you want to be an artist? This book is the perfect book for budding young artists as they navigate what it means to be an artist.
Join Zee and these real-life contemporary artists as they share advice, experience, and inspiration.
With activities to try throughout the book, it’s sure to help you on your own artist’s journey.
Zee has kindly offered to give away one free book. Comment on this blog or on my Catherine Mede facebook page for your opporunity to win.
I have a copy of this book, a truly amazing book with great ideas to help you find your inner artist. It doesn’t have to be for your kids, a wonderful resource for adults too.
