Yeah, I know, we are already half way through February – scary thought, but I just wanted to update  you all (those of you who follow me and encourage me), just where I am at – so this is it:

# Get Chrystias finished off and start looking around for a publisher / agent for it. – I am currently in the process of seiously editing the first book, once I have finished this, I will add the second and third book to make one seriously large tome.  Still, should be epic and good!  I am feeling really happy with where the book is at at present.

# Get Kings Queens and Noblemen edited to the second edit – with a view to getting it finished by the end of the year – Haven’t started this, busy enough as it is with Chrystias – was planning this one being the other hal f of the year’s project.

# Create more short stories and really start to focus on developing this skill further – I wrote a short story – The One – which is going to be in the Masters of Horror Anthology.  My goal of writing shorts so that I could get better writing skills paid off in the first month!!  Looking forward to having 12 completed short stories at the end of the year.

# Get one short story published (in a magazine / e-zine) (something other than my own blog site!) – As above, Masters of Horror Anthology – my goal now is to see how many other books and publications I can get my short stories into!

# Finish off some story ideas and start writing the next novel – the first draft to be completed before the end of the year (2010) – I have already started on the next novel – Medusa’s Garden is its tentative name – I have enjoyed researching this (I spent most of my holidays doing it) and will hopefully really get cracking on this shortly.  Have plotted it out and done Chapter Summaries in yWriter5 and written 1500 words so far.

# Encourage some of my writing friends to get their stuff published – I have modified this for my wall chart that I tick off each month, to just encourage writing friends with their writing – and I did in January – to the point she finally got one of her stories accepted into the MOH Anthology as well!  Awesome stuff.

So that is what happened in January and February is shaping up to be another positive month, but will hopefully blog about it at the end of the month, not in the middle of March!

The year is already going by so quickly, its not surprising at all that your January wrap up is a little late! You’re doing really well on your goal list 🙂 And thanks for booting me up the backside and making me submit lol
