Hi de hi Campers! Well, I have officially been told off by the powers that be at A to Z Blogging Challenge – well actually, it wasn’t a telling off, it was an encouragement to continue.

And as I needed to do my weekly roundup, I thought I could combine the two (or four!)

So this week, I have finished the edits on Running Away and sent out a newsletter with the beautiful cover that Leigh Hart created for it.  You know I would marry that girl if I could!  She is completely amazeballs and does such an excellent job.  She hasn’t disappointed me yet.  I don’t know when it will be released just yet, but I do know that there is a special offer for everyone on my newsletters subscribers list – they will get a free copy of Running Away before it goes out, so if you are interested, sign up now!

I haven’t done any writing on Lost and Found this last week, but that was because I wanted to focus on the edits.  Now that is out of the way, I am free to write as much as my little heart desires.  And it desires to write HEAPS!

Outspoken – well, I’m not really.  Yes I am.  When I want to be.  But, I am going to Au Contraire and I will be at the awards ceremony for the Sir Julius Vogel awards for which Shards of Ice was nominated for the Best Novel category.  I wasn’t going to, but the delightful Tee G Ayers convinced me that it would be the best thing I ever did, and of course, most of my writing buddies (whom I haven’t physically met) will be there, so it made sense.  And my Mum was generous enough to help out some some of the costs.  Thank you everyone for your support.  I am finally excited about Shards of Ice being a nominee.  Which is actually a really big thing!  A BIG THING!  Wahoo!  A BOOK OF MINE WAS NOMINATED.

I have signed up for Instagram… yet another bloody social media thing.  I am slowly getting to grips with it, but it isn’t easy!  I will hopefully be able to use it a bit more in the future, and post more of my own photographs of me and Everest (lol).  That cat now has separation anxiety and I can’t move more than two feet without him right behind me wondering where I am going or doing.  I have weeded the garden, mowed lawns, and cleaned my house with him right there.  He is my little buddy.  I guess losing my ex, then Rosey, he’s scared that he will lose me too!  Fat chance buddy!

Anyway, been a busy week personally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, but they are posts for another time!

Hope you have a great week.

Catherine.
