I wasn’t expecting things to happen but when things do, it happens quickly. Last week, I received back the proof from my proofreader for Running Away, and within two days I had those done and dusted. Over the weekend, I have formatted and sent the first ePub out to a friend of mine for her to read and make sure that it looks good on her ereader. Sometimes it can take me a week to get that done, but all this was done in 3 days! Eek! But it feels good to finally have this one all sorted. Just sent away for the ISBN’s.
Just waiting on the cover for Shards of Ice and I can get that done in print – I have already sold 3 paperbacks! And I am so close to finishing the Curse of the Taniwha, that I can almost taste it. And if I get that finished, I can get that out hopefully early next year. I can’t believe how things just all come together, generally all at the same time, but it gives you to boost you need to want to keep going, encourages you to write more, edit more, get something else finished.
I haven’t had an opportunity to do much art this week, school holidays and all, so I have a bit of catching up to do. Not a problem though, a few spare minutes here and there allows me to do what I need to do.
I’m proofing for someone this week, but once I have finished that, I will proof through my own book, then once I have the ISBN, I can do a cover reveal (for those who haven’t already seen it) and then I can also release the book. I’m thinking 1st December… but then the book is based in Autumn… Oh well, as long as I get it out this year!
I also plan on getting Curse of the Taniwha finished, because I…am…so…close! Fingers crossed.
What are your plans for the week?
