C Mead final logoDamn, this year is moving along just as quick as the last couple! I sometimes feel that there isn’t enough time in the day. Have the days sunk to 12 hours long?

In February, my goal was to write Running Away and get it finished. I didn’t. I didn’t even get half way, and that is mostly my fault. I fell back into old habits of thinking that other things were more important than my writing, and I need to kick that out of the park. Every morning, I address some part of my housekeeping chores, whether it is vacuuming, dusting, or cleaning the bathroom, and then I spend time doing my paperwork – for RWNZ, and then writing, except I spent more time catching up with paperwork than I did actually doing writing. I guess I just prioritised things wrong, but that’s okay. I know where I fell flat, I just have to improve my mindset and know that I can spend time doing some writing.

March, I want to get a lot of editing done, on Shards of Ice and get that through to my lovely critiquer, before getting it back to my editor at the end of the month. I was hoping to release this story this week, but that isn’t going to happen, so instead, I will be doing it early April. After that, I’m not too sure what the plan is. One of my previous stories probably, but I wanted to have Running Away ready for publishing in July / August. We’ll just have to wait and see.

My husband has been away for a couple of weeks, so you would think that would be more conducive to writing, but it isn’t. I miss him terribly, and I don’t sleep well when he’s away.

Last month saw me guest blogging at two websites, so go and check them out. The first one was an interview for Cynthia Woolf and the second one was Para Your Normal where I wrote about Taniwha’s.  Go over and check these sites out.

This month I have a blog post with Princess of Light on 5th – I seemed to think I had a few more days to write it, but I don’t.  Better get onto it now.

See you next week  🙂
