I forgot to post a blog last week, only because it turned into a busy day, and it took me about three days to realise!  Its a cold wintry day here in the Southern Hemisphere, and I am dreaming of somewhere hot, dry and lots of alcohol.  My beloved has confirmed that a holiday in the islands is on the cards… but that could be later this year or next year.  No doubt when it is humid or wet.  Oh well, the thought is there.

I have a part time job coming up soon.  Working for my husband’s company doing some testing and paperwork.  Actually looking forward to it, as it is far different from what I have done before.  My skills are mostly office work and obtaining quotes for repairing / replacing items. This is testing fire alarm systems on an annual basis.  Sounds like I will be dropped in the deep end and training on two of the big jobs, but that’s better than no training.

On the writing front – I have Shards of Ice back from my proofreaders, so this week will be focused on formatting and having a last read through and giving away copies prior to my launch which is 1st July – next week sometime (lol).  I sent an email out with the cover for my subscribers to have a look at.  They will also know when it is up live, otherwise everyone else will have to wait until 1st July, so if you want to get the news first, sign up to my email list.

I did get some writing done on Running Away, but not as much as I would like.  I’m hoping to get more done this week, and hopefully finish it.  I’m about half a chapter away from the final third of the book – the nitty gritty bringing everything together part.  I desperately want to get this finished because then I can start on finishing Curse of the Taniwha.  If I manage to get both of them done, then I plan on releasing them later this year, but I really need to get them both finished before the end of June.  I don’t see that happening, but it will be damned close.

So a busy week planned for me.  How about you?  What plans have you got for the week?

Take care  🙂

Being dropped in the deep end is always the best training! Glad you’ve got an island holiday to dream about in the cold weather 🙂
