Goodness me!  Time flies when you’re not sure which half of the week you’re in!  I’ve been that busy in the weekends and weekdays that sometimes I’m not sure whether it is a weekday or not!  I’ve had a big low recently, but a big ugly cry, and prayers to heaven were enough to get me through, and now I am feeling better than I have in weeks.  I guess praying every day is a good way to start your day, and end it as well.

Anyway, have started Memory Recall as part of NaNoWriMo – which is a novel in a month competition – National Novel Writing Month.  Its the northern hemisphere version of KiwiWriters SoCNoC.

It was a last minute decision, but I decided that if I didn’t try and write something, it would be well into 2016 before I started writing another novel!  So NaNo it is.

Memory Recall is a thriller, and I have blown a lot of things out of the water with this story.  The first one is that the heroine dies before the story starts.  Yes, that’s right!  She died, out cold, stopped breathing.  Deader than a doornail.  So how do I recover from that?  Interesting question – you will have to keep subscribed to my blog to find out.

I’m also writing it as a thriller (hopefully a romantic thriller) and I’m writing it in first person, not something I have ever been comfortable writing!  But I am enjoying the story.  10k in, and now two days behind.  I have to catch up and get ahead, because next weekend is a busy weekend too!

Went for a few walks up Lake Rotoroa in the Nelson Lakes National Park yesterday – it was an awesome day, and nice to spend time with my son, my bestie and her daughter.  Lots of laughs, puffing, and beautiful views, and we make it home before the heavens opened and it poured down.

Art has finished for the year, although I have one assignment still to hand it.  I’m doing an altered book on the history of New Zealand.  I’ve enjoyed doing it, and can’t wait to get it finished and handed in.  Looking forward to a quiet couple of weeks in the art room.

I also have business stuff to catch up on, so best I get going and doing the boring stuff before I start the writing  🙂  What are you up to this week?
