I guess it had something to do with the story I chose to write. There are lots of accounts of what happened prior to the event, after the event it is all based on confessions. I think I was struggling to get the story started. I knew there was one resource that I needed, and it wasn’t at the library, someone had it out. Damn.
As a strange turn of events, I was babysitting my friends son on Friday, and what should I find? Yes the very book I have been looking for – she had it out of the library. Now I am in possession of the book, and it really is the resource that I had been looking for. It clearly defines the days before the event took place, and gives me a more structured storyline that I can use – and it is working, except for the fact that I am doing everything but typing my story!
I also think that the story needs to be told, and I want to make sure that I do it sensibly, creating sympathy for those characters that don’t normally get sympathy, and I am wondering if I have bitten off more than I can chew, but then again… I like a challenge.
So I suppose now, I will make myself a Vanilla Latte coffee, heat up some hot cross buns before I sit down at my laptop and start formulating the story some more, because it won’t take long for the end of the month deadline to come up!
