Last week I mentioned that I was going through things and the memories that some of them brought
up. I also discovered I had WAAAAAY too many notebooks! (Hello, my name is Catherine and I’m a
notebookaholic.)
Going through them has been fun, all the story ideas that I had, some are very cringey, but others are actually great starting points for moving forward. The thing is, I don’t think I found more than five notebooks out of the about seventy I had, that didn’t have anything in them. A lot, I will be able to repurpose, but there are some that I had to throw out because they were already full, of…well…notes.
I write notes on everything. Every time I attend a meeting, I take my own notebooks and make
notes. Minutes, ideas, thoughts, story ideas, pieces of paper with ideas on them, they are a
collection of…well ideas and notes.
I love notes, making them, creating, sharing, thought provoking, anything that really comes to mind.
But do I need 70 notebooks full of these jottings…
Apparently I do.
So I have some notebooks where I pulled out the notes, because they are no longer relevant to me,
or what I do (or think or feel) and I have more blank notebooks than I started with, but a lot of them
are a lot thinner than they originally started out as.
Are they considered notebooks, if they have less paper in them than before... or note pads?
Hmmm?
